An event in Ireland

This story is about a moment in time (2017) after a trip to Ireland and everything seemed so gray to me. By accident, I found this old story and I realize again how happy I am, even in corona times, with my sweet lady.

An event in Ireland

A man asked me yesterday: are you ok? Surprised by the question I answered yes, why do you ask? He told me I looked sad. It was that moment at the sea I realized I carried the weight of the world on my shoulders. When I look around me nothing has real meaning for me if I just can’t share it with anyone else. Life looks gray, friends and family are out of reach till I see them again. Then it starts all over. I write this when I’m in an airplane heading home. The sun is about to set. The ring of the world has a horizontal rainbow with a spectrum full of colors. Just an hour ago on the ground there was no sun or a blue sky. Only gray. Life passes by fast. From my seat I can see the sun and more colors than I can describe with clouds with all different kinds of sizes. Why staying miserable if you know there is something out there for you to see? I hear the cheesy one-liners passing by for myself. Like: You have to see things in the long run or life goes like it goes and you just have to make the best out of it. I truly want to believe this kind of mumbo jumbo and I do like to see things in a positive way with an enormous amount of patience, but in the end I’m also a human with needs, because I also deeply believe that while we come on earth alone and leave alone, life is just better when shared.
